About
Welcome to the Dark Future
My name is Synn Fynn (or just Fynn). IRL I was laid off as a “Corpo” embedded dev at the beginning of 2025 and pivoted to self-employment on “The Street”, working contracts with bespoke requirements in vuln research on embedded devices. Outside of work, I tinker (sometimes mod) old mobile phones, some IPCams and other odd devices.
I’m also found in Night City as a streetkid Netrunner. Cyberpunk 2077 has been my go-to (almost exclusively) since its release in 2020. Even saved a 2nd copy to another partition, detaching it from Steam’s updater to lock it at v1.5 for the sole purposes of virtual photography (and heavy mod use). Its lore personally resonates, but unfortunately, there’s not enough time in a day to squeeze in a Cyberpunk RED ttrpg session. In the meantime, I rely heavily on R. Talsorian Games’ core books for lore dives.
Photomode images on this site are my own virtual photography shots from the game, v1.5 and earlier.
A favorite quote:
Bartmoss had it easy. He got to chill in a fridge while his mind wandered all over the whole damn planet and thanks to him? I’ll never have that freaking luxury. To crack a system, I have to move my meat and jack in on-site. Sure, maybe I’ll encounter a Hellhound, but they don’t spike my heart rate. I’ve got the skills and the programs to handle those puppies. They’re no problem at all. You know what scares me? Real dogs. Cloned, chipped, and cybered to be nastier than any Black Ice. That’s why I always go in with friends. They handle the real hounds. I handle the Hellhounds. Symbiosis at its best.
